imPRESSive


Step into the bold, textured world of printmaking with "imPRESSive," an exhibition celebrating the art and innovation of printmaking in all its forms, in collaboration with The Cedars Union!

From traditional woodcut relief prints and lithography to contemporary screenprints and linocuts, this dynamic art show brings together artists who explore the boundaries of inks and processes.

"imPRESSive" invites visitors to explore the diverse media and visual imagery of printmakers from across the region. Discover the craftsmanship, creativity, and cultural resonance that make printmaking an enduring and ever-evolving art form!

The exhibit is on display from June 4 - August, 2025 at the Grand Gallery at the Frisco Discovery Center. Admission is free, and you can enjoy the show anytime during open hours (visit our website for details).

"Bold ImPRESSions" Lino Block Workshop with Magaly Cantú

June 7, 2-4 p.m.

Led by artist Magaly Cantú, participants in this workshop will learn the basics of hand-printing relief prints from linoleum. This workshop includes carving and printing demonstrations. Each participant will work on a personal relief block and print their design or shared designs on beautiful handmade rice paper that they can then take home. Space is limited — save your spot here!

"Long Live Linocuts!" Workshop with Lynne Hubner

July 24, 6-8 p.m.

Lynne Hubner is Co-Founder and past President of the North Texas Printmakers Guild and serves as Exhibit Curator at the Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary. She runs an active printmaking studio in the Historic District of McKinney, Texas. An independent artist, lecturer, educator and national workshop presenter; she specializes in applying non toxic approaches to traditional art practices.
