Leili Arai Tavallaei blurs the line between print and animation. Her work captures and translates memories of her sprawling family's immigration, generational deterioration, and multicultural upbringing through fabricated memento-like pieces.

Tavallaei graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art and is working as a Concept Designer and Project Manager for MeetKai in the Metaverse. She is a resident studio artist of Cohort 4 at Cedars Union in Dallas, TX. Before that she was a Cohort 1 Fellow in Islam & Print's flagship program in Baltimore, MD. Her work has been shown at NASA Goddard, Lawndale Art Center, Black Artist Research Institute, Silber Gallery, Current Space, and screened at the Parkway Theater in Baltimore and the Downtown Independent Theater in LA.

Tavallaei currently lives and works in Dallas, TX surrounded by her growing collection of houseplants and sunshine.
